The MAPLE Awards celebrate organizations advancing workforce and economic development across Canada through technology, collaboration, and system level leadership.

We invite members of the Magnet network and the broader ecosystem to put forward organizations whose work is shaping the future of work in meaningful ways.

Submissions must be made using the form below
Submissions should highlight concrete achievements and measurable impact
Only organizations, not individuals, are eligible
Organizations must be based in Canada, and may have a national or regional focus
Organizations are free to self-submit

From all eligible submissions, Magnet will select a shortlist of final nominees whose work most strongly reflects the intent of each award category. These nominees will be announced publicly and advanced to formal review by the MAPLE Awards evaluation committee. All shortlisted nominees will also be automatically entered into consideration for the System Spotlight award, determined by public vote.

Jamie Moses was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in 2019 . He was one of the first three Black MLAs elected in Manitoba’s history. As an MLA, he passed legislation to recognize Emancipation Day in Manitoba and to establish anti-racism training for provincial employees. In 2023, Moses was appointed to the provincial cabinet as minister of economic development, investment, trade, and natural resources. Now serving as minister of business, mining, trade, and job creation, he is dedicated to expanding economic opportunities, growing Manitoba businesses, and supporting a diverse workforce in the province.

He holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and frequently speaks on innovation, creative economies, and city building.
