As demographic challenges and workforce shortages intensify, immigration remains the cornerstone of Canada’s future prosperity. Panelists Shamira Madhany, Managing Director of World Education Services (WES), Leslie Woo, CEO of CivicAction, Surranna Sandy, CEO of Skills for Change, and social impact leader Gillian Mason outlined how leveraging international skills, redesigning urban economies, and adopting innovative approaches can maximize the impact of immigration on Canada’s workforce and communities.

Karim holds a BA from McGill and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is the son of immigrants from Egypt and England, grew up in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and is now raising two children with his wife in Toronto’s west end.
